Re-Calibration The dictionary defines calibration as adjusting something in comparison with a standard. In the early days of television, a picture was broadcast and the user would adjust the settings on their set to insure that what was seen on their end closely matched what we broadcast. As Christians we need to re-calibrate from time to time. We need to take a fresh look at the standard and then make adjustments in our lives accordingly. In this series we are looking at a number of images the Bible uses to picture both Christians and the church. We'll look to understand each image better and then turn to adjust our lives and ministry accordingly. It promises to be an beneficial process for us all and offer the world a clearer picture of the Jesus we serve. |
